ST. LOUIS, MO - The Cardinals are back at Busch for their penultimate homestand of the regular season. The club will play seven games over the next six days, including a split doubleheader on Saturday with the Chicago Cubs and a three-game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates. The homestand is highlighted by the Cardinals tumbler and Matt Carpenter growth poster promo giveaways, Jason Motte's Strike Out Cancer Theme Night, and AT&T's Welcome Home Weekend salute to military.

Friday, August 29, 2014 - Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs (7:15 p.m.)

  • Budweiser Bash Friday: Enjoy music and autographs in Ford Plaza beginning at 5:15 p.m. The first 200 fans to line up at the Budweiser Bash entrance (Gate 5) will be given guaranteed autograph line tickets for former Cardinals outfielder, Bernard Gilkey, who will begin signing at 5:30 p.m. Only fans with autograph tickets will receive an autograph.   • AT&T Celebrates Local Military with "Welcome Home Weekend": To honor local military members who recently returned from service, AT&T is hosting the ultimate Cardinals fan experience for 12 service men and women, as well as their families. During the August 29-31 series at Busch Stadium, these active Air Force, Marine and Navy service members will have opportunities to attend batting practice, present the team lineup card, be introduced on the field and throw out the first pitch. Attending Friday are Staff Sergeant Charles Cothran, USAF, and Senior Airman Christopher Haughey, USAF. AT&T will also have a tent at Riverview Corner for Cardinals fans to create their own Cardinals cheer card and digital baseball card.   • Cardinals Care 50/50 Raffle: Fans, ages 18 and older, may play the Cardinals Care 50/50 Raffle by going to any of the six ticket kiosk locations throughout the stadium from the time gates open until the middle of the 7th inning. The ticket may say 6:15 or 7:15 p.m., however gates will open at 6:15 for a 7:15 first pitch.

Students and educators can enjoy a special pre-game Q&A/panel discussion with executives from both companies, focusing on careers in sports and media. Official 2014 Scorecard

On sale at Busch Stadium this season is the popular 2014 Official Scorecard, featuring the striking artistic designs of local artist Mike Right, who has been creating the timeless Cardinals scorecard imagery since 2003. This year's edition commemorates the franchise's 19th NL Pennant and the opening of Ballpark Village. Inside, the scorecard also teaches fans how to score the "Cardinal Way"-a storied tradition by club officials that dates back to the 1940s. Cardinals in the Community

Cardinals Care was established to give fans a way of teaming up with Cardinals players and the organization to help children in our community - both on and off the baseball field. Since it was established in 1997, Cardinals Care has distributed nearly $20 million to support St. Louis area non-profit youth organizations and built 21 youth ball fields in local disadvantaged neighborhoods. 2014 marks the 11th year of Cardinals Care's innovative Redbird Rookies program, a free baseball league for kids who otherwise might not have the opportunity to play. In addition to providing all the uniforms, gloves, bats, balls and other equipment needed for each team, Redbird Rookies also provides extensive off-field support in the areas of health, education, mentoring and the cultural arts for each of the nearly 4,500 kids who participate in the program each year. Cardinals Work "4 A Greener Game"

The Green Team is a group of volunteers who walk down the aisles of the seating bowl in-between innings collecting recyclables from fans and promoting recycling at Busch Stadium. In exchange for their services, volunteers are able to watch the game in standing room only sections of Busch Stadium, as collections are only done in-between innings and during pitching changes so as not to disturb fans trying to watch the game. At 9 a.m. on the day of each game, fans may purchase a voucher good for two tickets to that day's game for a total cost of $11.20 ($5.60 per ticket). The voucher may be redeemed for tickets 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the game. The tickets may be anywhere in the park, depending on availability.
