Grichuk, a Gold Glove winner last season in the Double-A Texas League, has been flawless in the field this season, playing all three outfield positions, but he has spent the majority of his time in center field.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Rosenberg, Texas, native was acquired last offseason in a trade with the Los Angeles Angels. He was the Angels' first-round Draft selection (No. 24 overall) in 2009, ahead of Mike Trout.
Grichuk made his Major League debut earlier this season, appearing in nine games for the Cardinals and making four starts. He went 3-for-21 with a double and triple.
