ATLANTA -- Carlos Beltran has announced plans to hold his second annual "Night in Old San Juan" Charity Gala in St. Louis. The event, which will benefit the Carlos Beltran Foundation, has been scheduled for 7:10 p.m. CT at the Four Seasons hotel on Sunday, Aug. 11.
The night will feature food and music from Puerto Rico, as well as a performance from dancer Chelsie Hightower of the television show Dancing With the Stars. Sports memorabilia and vacations will be sold during a live and silent auction. All funds raised will benefit Beltran's foundation, a non-profit organization that helps students pursue academic and athletic achievements.
Among the Cardinals already confirmed to attend the event are Yadier Molina, Matt Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Allen Craig, David Freese and Edward Mujica. Several other current Cardinals, as well as former players, are also expected to attend.
