ST. LOUIS, MO., July 9, 2013 - The St. Louis Cardinals announced today that they have traded right handed pitcher Mitchell Boggs, currently at Memphis (AAA), to Colorado in exchange for the Rockies international signing bonus slot #4.

Boggs, 29, who was drafted by the Cardinals in 2005, was a member of the Cardinals for five-plus seasons (2008-13), including the team's World Championship season in 2011.

"We wish Mitchell all the best with Colorado," said Cardinals Senior Vice President/General Manager John Mozeliak. "He is a tremendous individual who provided many contributions to the organization's success."
